​Usha Chilukuri Vance, the Indian-origin wife of senator JD Vance who could be the next vice president, used to be appalled by Donald Trump and it was surreal to see her next to Trump at the Republican National Convention, her old friends told Washington Post. Usha was registered as a Democrat almost a decade ago but was not vocal about politics. Her friends said she was actually repulsed by Trump after his January 6, 2021 action.
