Student protesters advocating for reforms in the government job quota system have declared a nationwide shutdown for Thursday, following incidents involving security forces that resulted in the deaths of six people, including four students, nationwide. Asif Mahmud, a leading coordinator of the movement, announced on Facebook that all establishments, except hospitals and emergency services, will shut down, with only ambulance services allowed to operate.
